Description
Responsible for performing the day to day system routines and process that supports customer account collections activities,
by adhering to company policies and procedures. This position requires adherence to security policy,
when managing customer accounts that contains private person information.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Responsible running all collections steps in CIS system for current and former customers.
    If applicable, also manage the creation and adherence of a collection cycle calendar

  • Daily tracking of notices for management reporting purposes as needed

  • Ensure accuracy of all notice types (e.g. letters, door tags,calls, disconnect
    service orders-validate for payments), through quality control process.

  • Address any errors within the processes that support collection activity-
    Collection letter printing / IVR outbound calls/ DELQ service orders
     

  • Communicate with customer professionally for collection activity purpose- Call customers to
    collect payment, send notices, make payment arrangements/resolve any billing-payments issues

  • Provide Care group with any information that may impact the care group
    - e.g. changes to collection activity, higher than normal notices etc.

  • Works closely with any changes to DELQ SO volumes, changes etc.

  • Following the security policy, manage collection placement files process

  • Keep track of number of accounts and dollar amounts

  • Support agency(s) with questions/concerns

  • Manage payments back from the 3rd party collector

  • Manage bankruptcy claims following existing process

  • Audit accounts that are collection exempt to ensure accuracy of claim status

  • Manage accounts that are on SPA/Budget by removing them from this
    arrangement/set up when they become past due

  • Manage accounts that require security Deposit to be re-assessed

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


  • High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of one year as a Customer Service
    Representative or equivalent.

  • Must be proficient in the use of PCs and general office equipment.

  • Works in an office environment.

  • Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping,
    grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
