Purpose

Responsible to guide operations and maintenance staff through daily activities to ensure safe and reliable operation and maintenance of the facility.

Accountabilities

Equipment Operations and Maintenance
  • Responsible for the “Shift to Shift” safe operations of all equipment associated with the Sanger generating facility, including gas turbine, steam turbine and HRSG boiler systems.
  • Ensure equipment performance is documented by maintaining complete and accurate log sheets.
  • Maintain system and equipment operations within vendor’s specifications and guidelines
  • Cover for on shift personnel as needed
  • Schedule and prioritize the activities of the Maintenance and Operations department Teams 1 & 2 focused on improving equipment, machinery, and process.
Inspection
  • Responsible for generating facility system inspections and system alignments during start up and shutdowns to ensure safe and correct operations of system equipment, both during normal and emergency situations.
  • Ensure required Inspections and testing of all equipment and systems associated with the power plant facility are being performed. Including rounds, chemistry,
  • Responsible for ensuring Preventative Maintenance tasks & Work Orders are completed on time and accurately for facility equipment each shift
  • Liaison with maintenance functions concerning routine and breakdown maintenance, including issuing work orders when required.
Comply with Safety Standards
  • Comply with all Liberty Power Sanger LLC Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist the Safety Field Program Manager with safety programs
  • Assist with the continued development of tailgate forms and creating tailgate forms for detailed maintenance activities
Other Operational Work
  • Safely drive rolling stock, including manlifts, golf cart and forklifts
  • Trouble shoot plant issues and recommend/advise corrective action
  • Loading and unloading raw materials
  • with Plant Manager on routine personnel reviews and disciplinary action as needed.
  • Maintain schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage while maintaining training, vacations, and sick time
Training
  • Training of staff on power generating equipment and systems.
  • Help ensure safety training is conducted per annual safety plan
Education & Experience
  • High School or GED equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience
