**This position is an internship and is open for College Students to apply to only**

Mandate:  This position is responsible for the upkeep of all Mapping and Geographical Information System (GIS) related systems as it relates to the Liberty Utilities infrastructure.
The position may also provide periodic reporting and related support to operations construction and sales teams.

Job Functions:
  • Create, edit, and maintain GIS data. Includes data collection, input, and linkages to various databases/images.

  • Update and maintain various GIS data, including the street centerline, parcel, subdivision, and utility data. Inputs data from contractor data, surveyor data, engineering plans, and subdivision plans.

  • Perform records research for the ongoing Gas Service Line Mapping project.

  • Assist Planning Engineer in creating Synergi model of the Electric Distribution System.

  • Scan and Index As-Built records into the Document Management System

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficient utilization with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) required.

  • Strong skills in the use of computer and peripheral equipment required.

  • Energetic and results-driven, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

  • Ability to analyze field notes and technical data; design and develop drawings and maps; completing various engineering drawings of equipment, systems, and installations required.

  • Well-developed verbal, written, communication and presentation skills required.

  • Flexible with traveling to other company sites and locations.

  • Driver’s license required.
