The Vice President, Engineering & Delivery Operations will be responsible for providing leadership to the Central Region Engineering, Fiber, Operations and maintenance of the lines, and substation systems of the Company.  Focusing on enhancing the Company’s position in the marketplace by playing a key role in the execution and delivery of our long-range and annual operating plans.
In addition insuring the continued cost-effective availability of electrical energy through the overall guidance of operation and maintenance of all existing Company lines.  The position will be part of a high functioning team of Vice Presidents
Job Functions

• Lead and develop high-performing teams capable of delivering energy with minimum environmental impact whilst maintaining system reliability and managing the operation and maintenance of the Company’s line and substation facilities
• Be a key member of the Senior Management Team in the development of overall long-range Company strategy and direction designed to provide adequate shareholder return
• Ensure compliance is met with all environmental and NERC regulations
• Lead Engineering and Delivery Operations in preparing and performing to capital and O&M budgets that allow for reliability both short-term and long-term
• Provide a safe, challenging and satisfying work environment by involving employees in safety, by creating a learning environment which encourages employees to demonstrate initiative and ingenuity and providing training necessary to enable success in a competitive environment
• Participate as appropriate on committees, such as health care plan trustee, labor management, risk management oversight, 401k advisory, pension plan investment, subsidiary board of directors, disclosure, etc.  Represent the Company as appropriate in civic and community affairs
• Assist in management of Enterprise level risk and legal affairs

Minimum Qualifications

• Education Level-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years' experience-generally requires 15+ years related experience
• Significant and extensive leadership, management and team building experience
• Demonstrated success in the following core competencies: visionary thinking complimented by shaping and executing strategy, business orientation to include functional depth and breadth within the Electrical Transmission sector
• Demonstrated track record of success in driving the company’s financial and operation growth efficiency
• Strong decision-making skills coupled with the ability to lead change.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that will contribute to team development and in working with stakeholders and senior management.
• And most importantly, a positive attitude; lots of hustle; friendly, and fun to work with
