Mandate:  Ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable source of power, which contributes to the profitability of the Joint Owners.  Participate in projects and other activities required for meeting plant goals and objectives.  Participate in outage planning which optimizes the utilization of Joint Owners resources.  Participate in evaluation of outage plans.  Perform technical purchases.

Job Functions:

  • Participate as a member of the State Line Combined Cycle Management Team to:  1) ensure plant energy supply to meet the Project demands; 2) profitably produce electrical energy with minimal environmental impact; and 3) maintain plant reliability
  • Participate in developing teams capable of:  1) planning; 2) budgeting; and 3) overseeing the implementation efforts for projects, outages, and other activities which will contribute to the Project's profitability.
  • Coordinate and direct contractors and others to ensure:  1) timely completion of projects which are consistent with applicable laws, regulations permits and Power Pool requirements; and 2) contribute to the Joint Owner's profitability.
  • Perform the purchasing of technical equipment, materials, and contract services to maintain reliability and availability.
  • Provide a safe, challenging, and satisfying work environment by:  1) involving employees in safety, 2) creating a learning environment which encourages employees to demonstrate initiative ingenuity and 3) providing training necessary to enable success in a competitive environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of the State Line Combined Cycle Budgets to:  1) assist in planning and controlling expenditures; and 2) provide accurate costing data which will result in informed business decision. 
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent with related experiences.
