Mandate: To support the Tech services team on performance analysis, process development and project management.

Job Functions:

  • Asset Performance Monitoring; utilize performance monitoring software such as Bazefield and EnSight to ensure the Wind & Solar generating assets are performing to their maximum ability
    • Development of performance verification tools and procedures
    • Investigating & troubleshooting underperforming assets along with the Facility Managers
    • Leading the weekly Asset Performance meeting with the Engineering and Operations teams
  • Electrical Engineering; work alongside the department electrical engineers on projects related to
    • Development of maintenance plans for electrical substations
    • Assist with compliance submissions to the North American Energy Reliability Corp. (NERC)
    • Assist or lead small maintenance projects in any of the four fuel types (Wind, Solar, Hydro & Thermal) including budget & scope development, project execution and reporting/documentation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2nd or 3rd year student, currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program with a College or University where co-op is a requirement
  • Data analysis, database administration or program analysis experience preferred
  • Strong MS Office experience, including Visio and MS Projects
  • Experienced in using Python
  • Strong Communication skills, with the ability to present analysis findings to internal teams
  • Bilingual French/English is an asset
