The Server Analyst’s role will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for server support and vulnerability management. This includes securing, configuring and optimizing all virtual systems and services as well as supporting raised issues. Development and implementation of security standards/processes including VMware vSphere, Windows Server and public Clouds. The Server Analyst’s obligation will be to develop and maintain SLAs for organizational server security solutions.

Essential Functions

  • Tactically guide the Vulnerability Management Plan, to coordinate, supervise and support activities in the areas of the Vulnerability Management program, security patch and remediation management.

  • Provide input, help prepare and update Vulnerability Management roadmap, develop, maintain, processes and security system documentation

  • Provide input for status reports to Managers and Directors related to Vulnerability Management metrics, key risk indicators, trending, and compliance reports.

  • Propose Vulnerability Management concepts/solutions, prepare presentations, and coordinate vendor demonstrations

  • Work with vendors, business users and other resources to assess and understand technologies and develop proposed beneficial technical solutions

  • Ability to analyze partner requirements and convert into secure solutions

  • Work within established configuration and organizational change policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the server infrastructure

  • Participates in configuration of monitoring tools and alert mechanisms

  • Assist and/or Lead IT Infrastructure Capital Projects related to Vulnerability Management

  • Assist in improving and maintaining security posture across the infrastructure services and equipment in line with security and regulatory policies

  • Build and maintain documentation as it relates to Vulnerability Management processes, and systems

  • Ensures appropriate compliance and audit requirements are met through designing and executing IT general controls

  • Support day-to-day operation of server infrastructure and services by handling escalated tickets and performing operational maintenance

  • Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation and respond to outages related to server infrastructure and services

  • Assist with managing relationship with service providers

Required Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in a vulnerability management role

  • Demonstrated experience with IT infrastructure related security tools

  • Working knowledge of Information Security best practices, policies, standards, and baselines, including industry standards and guidelines from ISO 27001/27002, NIST, and CIS

  • Working knowledge in Virtualization technologies, VMware and Azure or other clouds

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019 and active directory

  • Experience with datacenter technologies

  • Self-motivated with an ability to multi-task and prioritize across competing initiatives

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing technical landscapes

  • Ability to communicate with business partners from many different backgrounds and technical abilities

  • Experience with vulnerability management systems and processes (Qualys)

Desired Experience (not required)

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

  • Developing and maintaining infrastructure processes

  • Mission critical and/or life safety facilities

  • VMWare vRealize Operations Advanced Technology

  • Solarwinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM) and Server and Application Monitor (SAM)

  • Dell Avamar and Data domain technologies

  • Quest Audit tools
