Mandate: The Operations Analyst reports directly to the Supervisor, Electric Operations and performs analytical work of moderate complexity in support of work order closure and completeness.

Job Functions:

  • Work with the Operations Coordinator and Operations Supervisor to identify completed jobs ready for closure.
  • Ensure completion of work, completeness of documents, and system(s) accuracy prior to closure
  • Work with Finance to ensure all associated costs have been accurately assigned to the work order prior to closure in the Work Order Management System.
  • Gas and Electric operations and emergency response support including storm response assignments
  • Participation in customer and municipal/government meetings as the company’s engineering representative.
  • Periodic reporting and related support to Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Finance.
  • Technical experience and leadership
  • Ability to quickly take on new and varied assignments


Minimum Qualifications:

  • College degree/professional program or 3 years’ experience.
  • Knowledge of electric utility construction practices required.
  • Strong proven problem solving and analytic ability required.
  • Sound project management and/or systems planning capabilities
  • Skilled in computer applications with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and the current Work Order Management System required.
  • The employee may be required to descend/ascend ladders, enter/exit construction vehicles, and walk along varied terrain including streets, pathways, public and private rights of way, stoned yards, and trenches.
