Our Legal Department is seeking a professional and highly experienced Legal assistant to provide high quality and proactive administrative support to our legal team. This person must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and the position involves working closely with senior management with high expectations of a professional demeanor and exceptional work ethic. In addition, the successful candidate must possess strong written and oral communications skills, the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and create high quality work product, advanced business software skills, as well as the ability to work independently.

Provide support to the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, LU and Directors of Legal Services, Central Region which includes preparing and revising pleadings, testimony, legal notices, correspondence and discovery for service on parties on Central Region matters.

Maintaining all aspects of legal files, including complex litigation files, docketing litigation and corporate deadlines, arranging for the publication of legal notices, preparing exhibits for hearing, drafting business letters, copying, faxing/scanning, and creating and modifying PDF documents.

Provide support to the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, and Directors of Legal Services, Central Region on miscellaneous legal matters, including contracts and litigation relating to the Central Region.

Attending matters at Missouri Public Service Commission and taking notes, as requested.

Mailing of document, ordering of office supplies.

Education & Experience
Broad job knowledge of theory and principles within a professional discipline or advanced knowledge of specific technical/operational practices

University – Bachelor degree or equivalent

5-10years of experience

Advanced experience with Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook and adobe Acrobat required
