Purpose

An opportunity to join a dynamic team driven to source, attract and engage diverse top talent across North America. This position performs selected accounting functions for the Central region. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the AP department in opening mailings, scanning invoices, keying invoices and other job duties as needed. In addition, the intern will work closely with multiple departments and be an assistant in keeping up with a little of everything AP. Knowledge of accounting theory and practice, strong Microsoft EXCEL and analytical skills, effective communication, and time management skills are required. Must be enrolled in an Accounting program with completion of upper level classwork required.

Accountabilities

Assist the AP Team and Manager of Accounting with the following job functions below.

Performing accounting and analytic functions to ensure invoices, income, sales, property, and other taxes are presented and prepared accurately.

Become familiar with the preparation of any and all AP monthly invoicing requirements and financial documents.

Ensure financial transactions are recorded is in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax laws and regulations.

Reconcile business accounts when applicable.

Assist in the management of tasks to meet critical filing deadlines while working with Company personnel to evaluate receipts and due dates, invoicing even tax information for proper treatment.

Research one off issues as requested by a member of leadership.

Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

1-3 years’ experience.
Degree seeking candidates required to be a true internship.
