Reporting to the Director, Asset strategy the role is responsible for assisting the Director of Asset Strategy in the development of strategy, plans and implementation processes related to the business in support of Asset Management best practice and total cost of ownership for all Liberty Power generation assets. This position supports the development and implementation of a Strategic Asset Management Plan (which includes the strategy, system’s needs, processes and continuous improvement elements) across our North American generation portfolio of wind, solar, hydro and thermal assets in order to maximize its customer-centric values.


  • Assist, develop and maintain the strategic asset management plan to drive the long-term direction of the business by identifying gaps and demonstrating opportunities between other business units (engineering, operations, performance assessment and business development) focused on continuous improvement to optimize the lifecycle value of the assets with a generation portfolio
  • Support the documentation and development of financial and operational goals, key performance indicators, objectives and expectations to drive continuous improvement and mitigate risk
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans, policies and procedures for maintenance, asset onboarding, lifecycle capital plans, asset optimizations, repowering and end-of-life decisions
  • Manage semi-annual operational and financial performance assessment review process
  • Provides technical and commercial support/feedback to the business development group to realize the objectives of the Strategic Asset Management Plan
  • Maintain team objectives within budget and aligned to the Strategic Plan                                                                                                                                                                                                

Education & Experience

  • MBA, Undergrad in engineering, business administration, and or relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience building/ transforming a business operating model
  • Knowledge of Strategic planning and policy development
  • Knowledge of Asset and Process Management development
  • Knowledge of ISO55000
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Validated analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Highly ambitious, directed, keen attention to detail
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
