**This position is an internship and is open for College Students to apply to only**

Mandate:  The Operations Coordinator Gas Intern has responsibility for engineering and field operations activities related to creating Service Calls in the WennSoft work management system, applying and tracking street opening permits, digsafes, and verifying proper accounting to each job. The position may also provide periodic reporting and related support to operations construction and sales teams.

Job Functions:

  • Generates Service Calls in the WennSoft work management system.

  • Provides preliminary scheduling of service work as appropriate.

  • Generates completing, closing, and canceling service orders, identifying and resolving any data entry errors, including providing correct accounting.

  • Codes and validates, contractor and municipal invoices for restorations and sends them to the correct party.

  • Provides administrative and clerical support to field operations including providing periodic paving reporting and support to operations construction and sales teams.

  • Applies for street opening permits and digsafe numbers as needed.

  • Maintains paving spreadsheet and acts as liaison between paving vendor and company.

  • Assist supervisor in job organization.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide basic types of factual information.

  • Requires the ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

  • Requires proficient computer skills for data entry, reporting, reference and/or retrieval tasks.

  • Valid driver’s license required as there may be meetings with municipalities or other agencies.
